  • NY Times Co. chairman/heir Arthur Sulzberger Jr., speaking at a conference in California, asks, “Do we need all this news and information? Do we want all this news and information? Can we tolerate all this news and information?” Meanwhile, back at HQ in New York, his company reports newspaper ad revenue was down 18.3 percent, third-quarter profits down 51.4. Moody’s considers downgrading the company’s stock to junk status.
