- Documentary film maker Dan Baluff joined the community and posted an excerpt from his film about children and their suffering in war-torn Congo. Click here to learn more and watch the video.
- Mark Mayhew covers the aftermath of Hurricane Ike in Galveston, Texas, via Twitter and funded by donations – $75 so far. Mark asks in the community forum, Are there any other crowd funded journalists here?.
- Music producer Randal S. Hunter Jr. created a group called Musicians, Artists and Writers Alike.
