Chris joined Topix from Spoke Software, a business social networking company, where he was a co-founder and VP of marketing. Before Spoke, Chris was a Director of Marketing at AOL/Netscape for AOL Music, Netscape Search and Directory Products. Chris was a co-founder and VP of Marketing at NewHoo, and led the sale of the company to Netscape. After the acquisition, NewHoo was relaunched as the Open Directory Project at Netscape and became the world’s largest human edited directory of the web, and is still used by companies like Google, Alexa and AOL. Previous to NewHoo, Chris held a variety of sales, marketing and management positions at Sun Microsystems.
Chris graduated from the University of California at San Diego with degrees in Computer Science and Economics, where he was awarded the Michael J. Addison award for his senior thesis about the online information industry.

Beth Laing is the project manager for iFOCOS, which organizes the We Media conferences, awards and community. Prior to working with We Media she worked in a variety of new media roles with Knight Ridder, Infonautics and Access Atlanta. She is currently on the board of the Atlanta Women's Alliance (AWA), Community Advisory Board for Junior League Dekalb and a Leadership Dekalb 2010 class member.

    Chris, a gang of bullies has teamed up against a poster(s) on the JonBenet Forum. Ginny Hoge has done a disservice to you and so have OtterPopps and Capricorn and Legal_Eagle and others “posters’s names” who insult, lie, taunt, trick and humiliate posters who don’t believe the Ramseys killed their daughter.

    If you watch football, all you have to know is the expression, “it is the guy who responds to the first punch who gets penalized.”

    For years that bunch has ruled the roost and they lie, set up, insult and conspire. It is they who start the fighting. If you will, look carefully. That is all I ask. It is disgraceful the filthy garbage they have gotten away with by outnumbering individual posters who challenge them. They sabotage their “enemy” posters in the name of the person they hate. They gather IP addresses to threaten others, or they say they do. The posters who have been there for a while who favor the Ramseys would be glad to tell you what they think of the gang’s tactics. No one listens to them. They are a tiny minority. Look at the statement of RJF DuPage regarding the TOPIX Troll, “Capricorn.” He is a supporter of Ginny Hoge, too. He knows something about her history of abusive control of that forum. It is truly a shame.
