Not WordPress — It’s World Press: See 2007’s best photos in Miami
Okay, folks, we’re 19 days away from We Media Miami — time enough to print out your e-ticket, vote in a primary (where applicable,) and think seriously about the juicy networking opportunities that await you.
If you’re really going to make a party out of it, then you’re already planning to arrive in time for our opening reception, which starts at 6 pm on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the Common Ground Courtyard at the University of Miami School of Communication. And here’s an added treat: We’ll be able to view the 2007 World Press Photos, those iconic images that express each year the world’s triumphs and, more commonly, its tragedies.
The University of Miami School of Communication is hosting this display from Feb. 25 to March 5 only, so we’ll be some of the lucky few to see it. The School has also collaborated with the World Press Photo on a multimedia interview project with this year’s winning photographers, so check it out if you have time. (And we all have lots of free time these days, right?)
So we’ll look forward to seeing you at 6 pm on that Tuesday — and don’t worry about coming in clothes that are all wrinkled from your plane trip: Ours will look the same.
