Sign-up for boot camp March 10 – 11, 2010 at We Media Miami , at The University of Miami.

We think the world can be made better through media and we created the WeMedia PitchIt Boot Camp with that in mind. We’re looking for the best ideas at their earliest stage. We’ll help you with examples, feedback and personalized advice from experts and help grow your network of like-minded people.

Details and logistics:
Register for boot camp here
Cost: $200
Requirement: You must have a new project that is under development
Where: Storer Auditorium, School of Business, University of Miami
When: Wednesday, March 10 and Thursday, March 11

Boot Camp schedule:
On Wednesday you’ll make your pitch — a short presentation to a target group of experts – for your project. That night, at our poolside event, we’ll breakout into smaller groups to work on improving everything from elevator pitching to presentations, where to look for funding and other key questions and topics. Using feedback from your individual session you will be able to utilize your community of experts and peers to polish your toolkit and prepare for taking that next step.

Thursday is the PitchIt! Challenge program. In addition to the final pitch session you’ll hear from Ben Berkowitz of SeeClickFix and Jacob Colker of The Extraordinaries who won the challenge last year and, of course, hear first hand about the winners this year.

You’ll leave boot camp with a new network of allies and experts, specific ideas and improvements for your pitch and presentation and new ideas of next steps and opportunities to help you move your project forward. We hope to see you in Miami.

You will need to bring with you:

  • a four slide/ six minute presentation for Wednesday
  • a brief description of your project
  • list and short bio of people involved in the project
  • ten slide presentation to be worked on Wednesday night
  • We hope to see you in Miami. Contact Beth Laing (beth at wemedia.com) with questions or for additional details.
